Ovens Red is red sandstone local to Building Stone Cork from the Lee Valley.

This stone has a beautiful red colour which doesn’t fade. As is ages it turns a richer deeper red which adds lovely warm tones.

Ovens Red can be easily shaped into whatever size is required and we recommend that it is used with a dry joint i.e. the mortar is kept to the back of the stone so that only the stone is seen

It is a very versatile stone and works well both inside and outside:

• Fireplaces
• House fronts
• Porches
• Walls
• Piers
• Garden features (including water features).
